VTG Blenheim by Hutschenreuther Round Covered Vegetable Dish Bavaria Germany

Description

This is a vintage porcelain round covered vegetable dish in the Blenheim pattern by Hutschenreuther. It was manufactured in Bavaria, Germany between 1930-1966. It is a scalloped pattern in pure white with heavy gold trim in the Racine shape. The cover is a raised ridge pattern with a gold ribbon finial. The gold trim the rims of the top of the dish, the bow handles and the scalloped base. The gold also trims the rim of the cover. This vegetable dish has a tiny dark dot in the inside cover and on the side of the inside dish is a dot of gold. It also has a scratch on the bottom of the dish which I think is a manufacturers defect since is it glazed over. This piece measures 11 1/2" in length from handle to handle, and 7 1/2" wide. It is 6" from base to top of cover, without cover 3 1/4". This Hutshcenreuther covered vegetable dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks crazing or hairline fractures.
